Como una falta de respeto, calificó el comerciante Jorge Urbaez (Lolito), el que la empresa de Block Khoury Industrial siga operando a la entrada de Barahona, sin que las autoridades den la cara y corrijan esta mala práctica por parte de los propietarios de esta empresa.
Urbaez, dijo que hace más de una década que los residentes del sector palmarito y otras instituciones vienen demandando la salida inmediata de esa empresa de ese lugar, debido a que la misma emana un polvillo contaminte que afecta a los residentes de todo el entorno, además de ser un peligro para los choferes que a diario transitan por esta vía principal.
Jorge, recordó que varias personas han perdido sus vidas debido al polvillo y al cedimento que se concentran al frente de la fábrica de block. Indico que como pruducto de la alta contaminacion que genera la empresa al sector, muchas personas sufren de enfermedades resperatorias, cardiovasculares, oculares y de la piel. Precisa que los envejecientes y sus familiares no pueden conciliar el sueño por las noches, debido a los molestosos ruidos, ya que en la fabrica se trabaja de día y de noche. "No aguantamos mas esta situación".
Expreso además que si en un periodo de 15 días las autoridades no le buscan una solución definitiva a este problema se verán en la obligación de realizar otras vigilias al frente de Khoury, donde no permitirán la entrada y salida a los camiones y patanas que laboran para ellos.
